You may well have heard all the buzz online about the attacks on WordPress security. Unfortunately this is no joke, and it needs to be taken very seriously, or all you've built could be hijacked or worse, lost to you.
By default, the newest version of WordPress is pretty darn secure. The development team of WordPress has considered anything which may have been added to any secure your wordpress site plugins. Before, WordPress did have holes but now most of them are stuffed up.
This is fantastic news because it means that there's a strong community of developers and users who can further enhance the platform. Whenever there's a group of people attempting to achieve something, there will always be people who will attempt to take them down.
Recently, the blog published a news article and of Reuters was murdered by an unknown hacker. Since Reuters is a news website, their reputation is ruined because of what the hacker did. The same thing may happen to you in the event you don't pay attention.
Note that this last step for new installations should only try. You need to change all of the table names inside the database if you might like to get it done for installations.
Change your WordPress password and admin username, or at least your password and collect and utilize other WordPress security tips to keep hackers this out!
